While the first season of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein establishes the premise, the second season deals with Vikrant’s desperation to kill his wife, Purva Awasthi. Vikrant had despised Purva from a young age, and marrying her was a nightmare come true. But Purva was obsessed with him, and she took pride in owning him. The question that remained unanswered was—will Vikrant find a way to get rid of Purva? Will his dream of spending the rest of his life with Shikha ever come true? Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 does not answer all these questions; instead, it adds more twists and turns, which guarantees that a third season is on the way.

What Was Sherpa’s Motive?
The final episode of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 revealed that Sherpa was not driven by vengeance. Sherpa and Akhiraj had been business rivals for decades, but that was not why Sherpa wanted to abduct Purva and bring her to Nepal. Sherpa was in contact with Purva’s mother, who surprisingly was still alive. She was suffering from a terminal illness, and before she passed away, she hoped to be reunited with her daughter. Sherpa had failed to live up to his promise, but he was confident that if Purva found out the truth about her father, she would cross the border to meet her mother. But was the secret Sherpa was talking about?
The first episode of season two started with a car chase. Young Purva was in a car with her mother, and they were being chased by the police. Her mother was desperate to escape, and when she ended up at a cliff, she realized she had no choice but to jump off to escape an arrest. She preferred death over being arrested, or maybe she had an alternate plan but it was too risky to get Purva involved. She left Purva and drove the car off the cliff. It was assumed that her mother had passed away in the incident, but clearly, that was not the case. She had survived, but she chose to stay away from her family. Sherpa’s connection with Purva’s mother is undisclosed; he might be her second husband, friend, or even brother! We do not have any clue. But he cared about her enough to risk his men and plan an abduction to fulfill her dying wish.
Why Did Purva’s Mother Fake Her Death?
Purva’s parents did not share a loving relationship, and maybe Akhiraj was responsible for putting her in trouble. Maybe Akhiraj was abusive, and her mother had settled abroad with Purva to keep a distance from him. Who knows, maybe that was when she fell in love with Sherpa, which resulted in his and Akhiraj’s enmity. Sherpa too dabbled in dubious businesses, and maybe Purva’s mother got involved in it in some way or Akhiraj found a way to frame her. He had put her in danger, and she had no choice but to disappear. What is also strange is that instead of returning to India to live with her father after her mother’s ‘demise,’ Purva stayed with Guru and his family. Where was Akhiraj at the time? Was he living with Purva abroad, or did his friend look after his daughter for fifteen years? There are a lot of questions that need to be answered. In season three, we can expect to find out more about Purva’s parents and their past. The upcoming season will also delve into Akhiraj and Sherpa’s relationship. Maybe Sherpa will find a way to connect with Purva, and he will tell the truth about her mother and how her father had resorted to deceit to build her trust. After the abduction, Purva expressed her distaste for the kind of life that she was forced to live because she was born into a family of gangsters. Sometimes all she wished for was a hassle-free ordinary existence. Maybe after discovering the truth about her father, she might want to walk away from the life of crime and settle somewhere far away.
Will Purva Murder Shikha?
In Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2’s ending, Purva confronted Shikha. Vikrant had instructed Shikha to meet him at a Buddhist temple. She had packed her bags and was waiting at a guest house when Purva showed up all of a sudden. While we are yet to find out Purva’s intentions, we can assume that she will not be kind to Shikha. She always suspected that Vikrant and Shikha, aka Dolly, shared a romantic past, and she had threatened to destroy Shikha for the same. After Dharmesh’s murder, Purva was once again fixated on finding out Shikha’s secret. Since Dharmesh had disappeared from Shikha’s wedding venue, Purva had all the more reason to suspect her.
Moreover, pieces of human flesh were discovered in the sewage near Shikha’s parents’ house, and the police were already investigating the case. Purva will destroy Shikha and her family if she figures out that they helped Vikrant take care of the dead body. After she returned home, Purva decided to track Shikha, and that was possibly how she reached the guest house. If Purva had hacked into Shikha’s phone, she might well have found more incriminating evidence against her and Vikrant. While we do not know if she will ever suspect Vikrant of wrongdoing, she will not spare Shikha. Purva met Vikrant at the Buddhist temple where he was waiting for Shikha, suggesting that Shikha had told her about Vikrant’s whereabouts. There is nothing to stop Purva from murdering Shikha, and the fact that she was accompanied by gunmen when she went to the guest house confirms that she was prepared to kill Shikha if she refused to cooperate. Shikha and Vikrant’s dream of running away to a foreign country seems quite distant. While we do not yet know if Purva had already figured out Vikrant was behind her abduction, it seems she has realized that Vikrant felt suffocated living with her gangster family. Shikha is at the mercy of Purva, and it will not be surprising if she is murdered in the next season.
Who Was Vikrant Shooting In The Final Scene?
The ending of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 possibly foreshadows the ending of the upcoming season, or at least, a very significant scene from season three. Vikrant was inside what can be described as a temporary settlement, shooting with a gun from outside his window. We do not know who was on the other side, but it seems a bullet had hit his body, and he collapsed to the floor. Lying beside him was Purva, who was heavily pregnant. At that moment, Vikrant seemed to have thought it was the end of his life, but that seems quite unlikely. So, what possibly happened in between? While there are no right answers to that question yet, my best guess is that Purva had decided to run away from her family and Vikrant helped her, or at least he was compelled to assist her.
After discovering her father’s past, Purva might have wanted to distance herself from Akhiraj, and the only person she could rely on was Vikrant. She had already started to question her lifestyle, which involved constant death threats and shootouts, and the only reason she continued to stay was because of her father. The minute she finds out that her father is a flawed man who was in some way responsible for her mother’s disappearance, she will rebel. Vikrant will not have much of a choice. Purva had already ruined his escape plan, and Shikha, if alive, would be forced to distance herself from him. She and her family might end up in prison as well because of the evidence discovered by the police. Purva will look past Vikrant’s wrongdoings if only he helps her escape and live a life of peace. So, naturally, Vikrant will abide.
So who was he shooting at in the final scene? I believe Akhiraj’s men had surrounded the house. Purva was Akhiraj’s only daughter, and he would not let her slip away as easily. His men were perhaps trying to find a way to bring Purva back, and they were ready to do so even at the cost of killing Vikrant. He could either die protecting the woman he despised or he risked the possibility of ending up in prison for plotting an abduction and committing murder. Vikrant’s life will likely go downhill unless an unexpected redemption possibility is introduced. The only option is to wait for the third season and find out how the drama unfolds!
